Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Instrumentation
- Install, calibrate, and maintain sensors, transmitters, and control loops for solar plant operations (e.g., inverters, trackers, MV stations).
- Perform predictive and preventive maintenance on SCADA systems and process control equipment.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and control issues using diagnostic tools and interpret P&ID diagrams.
- Ensure compliance with OEM recommendations and solar plant SMPs for reliability and uptime.
Telecom
- Install and maintain telecom systems supporting solar plant operations, including fiber optics, routers, switches, and structured cabling.
- Maintain and troubleshoot communication systems integrated with plant monitoring (SCADA, remote desktop, IP telephony).
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on telecom equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Support integration of telecom systems with solar plant control networks.
Electrical/Lighting (ELT)
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting systems, and associated components for solar facilities.
- Perform high-voltage switching operations (up to 230kV) and maintain substation equipment.
- Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems for solar PV arrays, inverters, and auxiliary lighting circuits.
- Ensure adherence to electrical codes and solar plant safety standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma or Technical Certification in Instrumentation, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in solar power plants or renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems, PLC/DCS, fiber optic cabling, and high-voltage electrical systems.
- Familiarity with OEM guidelines and international standards for solar plant operations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across multiple disciplines.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Commitment to HSE compliance and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and handle high-voltage equipment.
- Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency maintenance calls.
