Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Analyze and investigate different types of claims (damages, delays, temperature issues, shortages, etc.) and actively coordinate with clients, suppliers, forwarders, and insurers to reach resolution.
Assist in calculating claim values, including cost breakdowns and support settlement negotiations.
Follow-up on claim settlements to ensure timely resolution and reimbursement.
Review pending claims and take necessary actions to move files forward
Review, verify, and process credit notes.
Prepare and submit daily marine insurance declarations for shipments.
Validate, record, and maintain all insurance policies accurately.
Coordinate with brokers and insurers on policy issuance, endorsements, and payments.
Follow up on outstanding policies and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain proper filing and documentation for all claims and insurance records.
Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in his/her area of work.
Support the team with additional tasks as required.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field.
1 3 years of experience in insurance or claims handling.
Basic knowledge of marine insurance principles (Incoterms, policy types) is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive or disputed cases professionally.
Ability to draft clear, structured, and professional emails and claim summaries.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Good time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Professional, reliable, and proactive attitude.
Familiar with insurance terms.
