Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve employee inquiries regarding health, dental, vision, and other insurance plans, providing clear and concise explanations.
  • Oversee the enrolment and termination processes for all insurance plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations and company policies.
  • Coordinate with insurance providers to resolve claims issues, billing discrepancies, and other administrative matters, advocating for employees.
  • Maintain and update employee insurance records in HRIS systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Conduct new hire orientations, explaining insurance benefits and enrolment procedures in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Assist in the annual open enrolment process, including communication, education, and support for employees.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in insurance regulations and benefit plan offerings, ensuring compliance and providing accurate information.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement benefit communication materials and programs.
  • Process and reconcile insurance invoices, ensuring timely payment and accurate record-keeping.
  • Analyse insurance plan utilization and costs, providing insights and recommendations for cost-effective solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HR, with a focus on benefits administration and insurance coordination.
  • Experience working within the insurance industry or with third-party administrators (TPAs) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and other relevant compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
