Job description

Job Title: Insurance Officer

Location: Dubai, UAE (or specify your office location)

Department: Insurance / Risk Management

Reports to: Insurance Manager

Employment Type: Full-time

We are a dynamic and growing group of companies operating across multiple sectors in the UAE and beyond. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Insurance Officer to join our team and support the Insurance Manager in safeguarding our assets, employees, and operations through effective insurance management.

In this role, you will work closely under the guidance of the Insurance Manager to ensure comprehensive insurance coverage, efficient claims handling, policy renewals, and risk compliance across the group entities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and managing insurance needs for the group's companies, including property, casualty, liability, motor fleet, employee benefits (health, life, group personal accident), marine cargo (if applicable), and other relevant covers.

  • Coordinate with insurance brokers, insurers, and internal departments to obtain competitive quotes, negotiate terms, and place/renew policies.

  • Monitor existing insurance policies, track renewals, endorsements, and cancellations to ensure continuous, adequate, and cost-effective coverage.

  • Handle the full claims process: prepare and submit claims documentation, follow up with insurers/brokers, liaise with claimants (employees, vendors, third parties), and ensure timely settlements.

  • Maintain accurate records of all insurance policies, claims history, premiums, and related documents in digital and physical formats.

  • Support risk assessments and loss prevention initiatives in collaboration with the Insurance Manager and other departments.

  • Prepare regular reports on insurance portfolio performance, claims trends, premium costs, and recommendations for improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with UAE insurance regulations, group policies, and international standards where applicable.

  • Respond to internal queries from management, HR, finance, operations, and legal teams regarding insurance matters.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in insurance management, corporate insurance, broking, or claims handling (experience in a multi-company/group setup is highly preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of various insurance lines relevant to corporate/group operations (property, liability, employee benefits, motor, etc.).

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to liaise effectively with brokers, insurers, and internal stakeholders.

  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel for reporting).

  • Ability to work independently & under supervision while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken);
