Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Position Summary: The Company is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Insurance Officer to manage all insurance-related activities, ensuring adequate coverage for university assets, employees, students, and liabilities. The role is critical in minimizing risk exposure and ensuring compliance with applicable regulation

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Administer and manage all insurance policies, including renewals and updates.
  • Liaise with insurance providers to secure competitive quotations and optimal coverage.
  • Process, monitor, and follow up on insurance claims to ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct risk assessments across university facilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate insurance records and documentation.
  • Prepare periodic reports on insurance coverage, claims, and risk exposure.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and university policies.
  • Act as the focal point between beneficiaries and vendors to ensure the timely and effective delivery of required services.
  • Provide guidance to staff on insurance procedures and policies.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in business administration, Insurance, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • CII is Required.
  • Has at least 7 years of experience in handling health insurance policies, and property insurance.
  • Has at least 5 years of experience in other types of insurance.
  • Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance requirements in Oman.
  • Handle insurance claims and follow up on settlements.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance principles and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and risk assessment skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
