Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Administer and manage all insurance policies, including renewals and updates.
2. Liaise with insurance providers to secure competitive quotations and optimal coverage.
3. Process, monitor, and follow up on insurance claims to ensure timely resolution.
4. Conduct risk assessments across university facilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
5. Maintain accurate insurance records and documentation.
6. Prepare periodic reports on insurance coverage, claims, and risk exposure.
7. Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and university policies.
8. Act as the focal point between beneficiaries and vendors to ensure the timely and effective delivery of required services.
9. Provide guidance to staff on insurance procedures and policies.
10. Perform any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor.
Desired Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications & skills: The candidate should be:
- Bachelor s degree in business administration, Insurance, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CII is Required.
- Has at least 7 years of experience in handling health insurance policies, and property insurance.
- Has at least 5 years of experience in other types of insurance.
- Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance requirements in Oman.
- Handle insurance claims and follow up on settlements.
- Strong knowledge of insurance principles and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and risk assessment skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
