Roles & Responsibilities

The Integrated Commercialization Lead (ICL) is accountable for end-to-end leadership of commercialization strategies within assigned disease areas, ensuring strong in-field execution, effective coaching of PJPs, and ecosystem shaping that drives sustainable value. The ICL translates organizational strategies into actionable plans that strengthen customer engagement, accelerate access, and deliver measurable business results.

The ICL holds overall accountability for delivering market leadership for their respective portfolio and resources, whilst working in the context of shared responsibility, in clear alignment with the Head of Healthcare Ecosystems.

The ICL reports to the Head of Healthcare Ecosystems, who is responsible for the P&L and operationalizing the overall country strategy and ecosystem shaping. Together, they align on priorities to ensure that field execution, disease area strategies, and customer engagement contribute to both short-term performance and long-term sustainability.

In addition, the ICL provides in-field leadership and coaching to PJPs, ensures seamless coordination with Disease Commercialization Leads, and partners with the global network to align strategies, embed system thinking to identify leverage points across the patient journey and healthcare ecosystem and establish learning loops across the region.

Your Impact

  • Provide strategic leadership and people management of Patient Journey Partners (PJPs), with responsibility for their development, performance, and impact.
  • Foster a culture of empowerment, innovation, and enterprise mindset across the team.
  • Collaborate closely with Disease Commercialization Leads to ensure strategic alignment and coordinated execution across therapeutic areas.
  • Own and lead the local commercialization strategy for the assigned disease area, integrating medical, access, policy, and commercial perspectives into a unified plan
  • Work closely with the Head of Healthcare Ecosystems (P&L owner) to operationalize the overall country strategy, shape the healthcare ecosystem,
  • Partner with the global network to shape commercialization strategies, share best practices, and establish learning loops across the region.
  • Leverage omnichannel capabilities and digital tools to deliver a personalized, seamless customer experience.
  • Collect, analyze, and share field insights to inform ecosystem strategies and adapt quickly to market dynamics.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with healthcare providers, payers, and other key stakeholders to support access and value delivery.
  • Apply a health equity mindset to ensure broader patient access across diverse and underserved populations.
  • Serve as the external face of the disease area, building trust-based partnerships with healthcare providers, payers, and patient organizations
  • Drive sustainable solutions that create long-term value for patients, healthcare systems, and the organization
  • Represent Roche with the highest ethical standards, adhering to all compliance policies and guidelines.

Desired Candidate Profile

You hold a Bachelor s degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.

  • You possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry with proven success in commercial, sales, or access roles.
  • You have at least 5 years of demonstrated people management experience, with a proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams.
  • You hold a strong track record in customer engagement, commercial strategy, and in-field leadership.
  • You have demonstrated experience in leading therapeutic areas and collaborating with global/regional teams.
  • You possess a strong understanding of healthcare access dynamics, payer systems, and policy/regulatory environments.
  • You are able to leverage digital and omnichannel tools to drive customer-centric engagement.
  • You demonstrate excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • You show resilience and adaptability to thrive in a fast-evolving, complex environment.br>
