Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
what you will do?
Lead and oversee all stages of the interior design process, from concept development through to execution.
Develop innovative and functional design concepts based on client needs, preferences, and project requirements.
Ensure designs meet aesthetic, functional, and budgetary expectations while aligning with the client’s vision.
Maintain awareness of current design trends, materials, and technologies to ensure the design solutions are cutting-edge and sustainable.
Lead multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and to the highest standard.
Prepare and manage project schedules, coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any design or implementation issues.
Provide direction and supervision to junior designers, assistants, and contractors to ensure successful project execution.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
Present design proposals, revisions, and final presentations to clients, ensuring effective communication and feedback incorporation.
Conduct regular meetings with clients to review project status, discuss feedback, and ensure satisfaction with design and execution.
Develop detailed floor plans, layouts, and 3D visualizations to communicate design concepts effectively.
Select appropriate furniture, fixtures, finishes, color schemes, lighting, and other elements to create cohesive and functional spaces.
Ensure all designs are compliant with safety codes, regulations, and accessibility requirements.
Create detailed cost estimates and manage budgets for projects to ensure efficient use of resources.
Negotiate with suppliers, contractors, and vendors to source the best quality materials within budget constraints.
Track and report on project expenditures, ensuring alignment with the financial plan.
Work closely with architects, engineers, and other specialists to coordinate design and construction elements.
Mentor and guide junior design team members, providing feedback, support, and training to foster their growth.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create visually impactful presentations and design proposals for potential clients.
Integrate sustainable design practices, materials, and energy-efficient solutions into projects whenever possible.
Stay up-to-date with emerging design technologies, sustainability trends, and industry best practices to ensure forward-thinking solutions.
what you will need?
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating diverse projects (residential, commercial, or hospitality).
Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D Max, Adobe Suite, etc.).
Strong understanding of space planning, color theory, and materials selection.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
In-depth knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
