Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Internal Auditor will play a crucial role in enhancing governance and risk management practices within the organization. They will conduct independent audits, assess internal controls, and provide advisory services to improve operational efficiency and financial management. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
Responsibilities
Conduct independent audits and assessments of internal controls, financial processes, and operational procedures across multiple business units.
Identify and evaluate risks, control gaps, and inefficiencies, and propose practical solutions to mitigate these issues.
Provide objective assurance and advisory services to enhance governance practices and improve overall organizational performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, gather relevant data, and present audit findings effectively.
Prepare comprehensive audit reports, including recommendations for process improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
Stay updated with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in internal auditing.
Maintain effective communication with senior management, business unit leaders, and other relevant stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, and identify areas for process optimization.
Assist in developing and implementing internal audit plans, risk-based approaches, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Foster a culture of integrity, transparency, and continuous learning within the organization.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing, risk management, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop practical solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in using audit software and data analytics tools for efficient audit processes.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required for audit assignments.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
