Associate Manager, Internal Controls | Majid Al Futtaim Global Solutions | Finance

ROLE SUMMARY

The Associate Manager role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing internal control frameworks across key business processes. This role ensures that operations comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards while promoting efficiency, accuracy, and accountability. The Process Manager acts as a bridge between departments identifying control gaps, improving workflows, and supporting audit readiness. Their goal is to strengthen the internal control environment by embedding controls into core processes and fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.

ROLE PROFILE

Develop and enforce internal control policies and procedures across all accounting and financial reporting activities.
Drive initiatives to automate controls and improve accuracy.
Ensure financial statements comply with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP).
Track key control indicators and escalate issues as needed.
Provide regular reports to senior management on process health and risk exposure.

Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, walkthroughs, and responses.
Implement audit recommendations and monitor corrective actions.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 10+ years of working experience, with at least 6 years in financial reporting, accounting analysis, or month-end closing.
Bachelor s degree (master s preferred) in Finance or Accounting.
CPA certification desirable.
Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, SQL, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, etc.
