International Center for Biosaline Agriculture Careers

Founded in the year 1999, the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA) is an international, not for profit agriculture research center based in Dubai, UAE. The center was established with an aim to find solutions regarding the problems of salinity and using saline water for irrigated agriculture. ICBA’s main purpose is to improve the agricultural productivity in marginal and saline environments. For this, the center finds, tests, and facilitates access to sustainable solutions for food, nutrition, and income security. In simple words, the center is involved in the following activities:

• Climate Change Impacts and Management
• Crop Productivity and Diversification
• Aquaculture and Bio-energy
• Policies for Resilience

The ICBA’s vision is to become globally recognized as the center of excellence for innovative agriculture in saline and marginal environments. Towards this end, the center is committed to delivering agriculture and water scarcity solutions in marginal environments.
