Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced International Commodity Trader – Metallic Minerals for a well-established, diversified business group with strong exposure to global commodity trading and raw materials markets. This role offers high commercial visibility, end-to-end trading responsibility, and the opportunity to work across international sourcing and sales market

  • Trade physical metallic minerals including manganese, nickel, bauxite, iron ore, chromite, and gold in international markets

    • Analyze global supply-demand dynamics, price benchmarks, freight trends, and geopolitical factors

    • Identify and execute profitable spot and term trading opportunities

    • Develop new sourcing channels and sales markets; negotiate with mines, processors, traders, and end users

    • Structure and negotiate commercial terms including pricing formulas, quality specs, Incoterms, volumes, delivery schedules, and payment terms

    • Manage end-to-end trade execution: contracts, logistics, shipping, documentation, insurance, and settlement

    • Monitor and manage price risk, credit exposure, counterparty and operational risk; apply hedging strategies where applicable

    • Coordinate with logistics, finance, legal, and compliance teams to ensure seamless execution

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field

    • Strong product knowledge in metallic minerals and/or gold, including quality parameters and pricing benchmarks

    • Proven experience in international physical commodity trading

    • Solid understanding of Incoterms, trade finance instruments (LCs, SBLCs), and bulk shipping logistics

    • Strong commercial judgment with a P&L ownership mindset

    • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

    • Proficiency in MS Excel and market intelligence platforms (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.)

    • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
