Job Description

As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our inventory operations. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and maintain the accuracy of our inventory records, ensuring the availability of products while minimizing excess stock and storage costs. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments such as procurement, sales, and shipping to ensure a seamless flow of goods in and out of our facilities. You will utilize various inventory management software and tools to track inventory levels, analyze data to anticipate inventory needs, and implement strategies to improve inventory processes. If you possess strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset, you are the ideal candidate for this position.


Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records through regular audits and reconciliations.
  • Develop and implement efficient inventory management strategies to minimize excess inventory.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and sales teams to align inventory levels with demand forecasts.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track and update stock levels continuously.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records promptly and effectively.
  • Generate and analyze reports on inventory performance to inform decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure timely and accurate receipt and dispatch of goods.
  • Implement best practices for inventory handling to prevent damage and loss of goods.
  • Engage in periodic cycle counts and physical inventory counts to verify stock accuracy.
  • Communicate inventory status updates and potential issues to relevant department heads.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to inventory control.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on inventory management procedures and best practices.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role in operations.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, practices, and tools.
  • Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain management processes is advantageous.
