Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
- Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.
- Monitor and manage the flow of inventory and ensure stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular audits, and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and the system of record.
- Identify and address inventory discrepancies, overstocking, or stockouts, and develop solutions to prevent future issues.
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory status, trends, and issues, along with providing insights to management for decision-making.
- Participate in the preparation and execution for the review of authorized stock list (ASL).
- Work closely with the requisition team to ensure timely ordering of stock.
- Utilize inventory management system to track inventory level and manage orders.
- Ensure stock locations are organized in a manner that promotes efficiency and increases accountability.
- Receive, unpack, and deliver goods, re-stock items as necessary, and create bin labels as required.
- Ensure that damaged or misplaced inventory items are accounted for and handled properly.
- Monitor the expiration dates of inventory and properly disposition when expired
- Perform additional duties and projects assigned.
REQUIRED:
- Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:
- Three (3) to five (5) years progressive experience working in a high-volume warehouse environment.
- Experience with supply chain management (SCM) systems particularly in relation to accurate inventory management.
- Experience and knowledge of materials-accountability, loss prevention and logistical scheduling.
- Experience working independently with various functions and disciplines of supply chain and operations.
- Experience with analysis and research using the MS Office Suite of programs.
- Handling of U.S. Government property procedures.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high standards of customer service.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision with a strong focus on procedural compliance and customer service.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Strong understanding how inventory affects company contractual obligations.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely.
- Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team.
- Ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.
- Expert communication skills (Verbal & Written) to facilitate and disseminate information.
- Education: A high school diploma or at least 3 years experience in a warehouseman/logistics role.
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid drivers license from Home of Record.
- Security Vetting: Already possess an RSO vetting clearance or be able to obtain one. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification level for the duration of the contract.
- Medical: Successfully complete and pass the medical examinations as required by Amentum and our customer for Iraq. Must maintain physical requirements for duration of deployment.

The Inventory Specialist will be based at Baghdad Embassy Compound (BEC) in Iraq and serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State.
