Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management & Control

    • Oversee end-to-end inventory operations across hypermarkets, supermarkets, warehouses, and distribution centers.

    • Monitor and control inventory movement, stock availability, and replenishment processes.

    • Manage high-value inventory turnover while ensuring optimal stock levels and reduced stock losses.

    • Handle inventory operations involving more than 500K SKUs with high daily SKU creation, updates, and maintenance activities.

    • Ensure accurate SKU master data management including barcode, pricing, category mapping, UOM, and product attributes.

    Retail & FMCG Operations

    • Coordinate with buying, merchandising, warehouse, and store operations teams.

    • Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, non-moving, and seasonal inventory trends.

    • Ensure timely stock replenishment and minimize out-of-stock situations.

    • Analyze sales trends, demand patterns, and inventory aging reports.

    • Manage promotional inventory planning and stock allocation.

    Inventory Accuracy & Audit

    • Ensure high inventory accuracy across all locations and systems.

    • Conduct cycle counts, stock audits, and physical inventory verification.

    • Investigate stock variances, shrinkage, damages, and expiry-related losses.

    • Implement inventory control procedures and corrective actions.

    • Maintain compliance with internal audit and operational standards.

    ERP & SKU Data Management

    • Manage inventory master data in ERP and retail systems.

    • Handle large-scale daily SKU updates, product onboarding, delisting, and category revisions.

    • Ensure synchronization between ERP, POS, warehouse, and e-commerce platforms.

    • Generate inventory MIS reports, stock movement analysis, and KPI dashboards.

    Team Management & Leadership

    • Lead and supervise inventory controllers, data entry teams, warehouse coordinators, and stock auditors.

    • Allocate tasks, monitor team performance, and ensure operational efficiency.

    • Train and mentor team members on inventory processes, ERP systems, and stock control procedures.

    • Coordinate cross-functional communication between stores, warehouses, procurement, and finance teams.

    • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

    Supply Chain & Warehouse Coordination

    • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for stock transfers and replenishment.

    • Monitor warehouse stock utilization and storage efficiency.

    • Ensure timely GRN processing and inventory reconciliation.

    • Support supply chain optimization initiatives.

    Reporting & Analysis

    • Prepare inventory valuation, stock aging, and shrinkage reports.

    • Monitor inventory KPIs including stock turnover ratio, sell-through, fill rate, and stock cover.

    • Provide management with actionable inventory insights and recommendations.

    • Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to inventory planning.

    Requirements

     

    Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.

    • Professional certifications in Inventory/Supply Chain Management are an advantage.

    Experience

    • 5–10 years of experience in FMCG retail or hypermarket inventory management.

    • Mandatory experience in the United Arab Emirates hypermarket/supermarket industry.

    • Proven experience handling inventory operations exceeding 500,000 SKUs.

    • Strong exposure to high daily SKU updation environments and large-scale retail inventory systems.

    • Experience managing high-value inventory turnover in multi-branch retail operations.

    Technical Skills

    • Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures and retail operations.

    • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, ERPNext, Focus, or similar retail systems.

    • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.

    • Familiarity with barcode systems, WMS, and POS integration.

    • Experience with inventory forecasting and replenishment tools.
