Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- levels accuracy inventory Maintain
- Manage and maintain NSC s material and stored product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations in the assigned territory.
- Manage and control Periodical & perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks; Sets cycle counts of inventory and clears any discrepancies in the assigned territory.
- Ensure materials/goods are ready and available for dispatch as and when required in the assigned territory.
- Ensure that any materials that are late or holding up sales for whatever reason are chased and followed up until resolved.
- Provide routine management information on inventory performance
- Monitor & evaluate consumables usage & costs
- Monitor & evaluate material utilization and scrap
- Monitor & evaluate Spare parts usage in repair and maintenance.
- Implement improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory, minimize costs and maximize working capital
- Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.
- Work with the store managers at each location to ensure the store properly prepares and manages all aspects of inventory
- Ensure accurate written procedures for all main inventory control processes and functions are followed.
- Ensure works orders are correct and fully completed and that all stock has been allocated to the job correctly
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system
- Produce daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies addressed and resolved
- Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock
- Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels
- Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved
- Monitor & ensure repair and maintenance activities are done on time.
- Ensure product pictures are available in the product database.
- Ensure consolidated products details availability to Warehouse receiving.
- Perform other related duties as requested by management.
- Monitor performance of direct reports and guide them in managing their performance by providing appropriate feedback
- Allocate work to subordinates, nominate for training as per the origination s guidelines and manage leave and overtime to ensure the efficiency of the group
- Ensure that subordinates are aware and familiar with assigned tasks and responsibilities
- Assist subordinates in resolution of any problems, discrepancies, and inquiries
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Business
- A minimum of 4 6 years of relevant experience
- Accounting/finance or inventory control experience is preferred
