Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced investment manager for a reputed family office based in Kuwait. This role involves working closely with the Investment Committee to evaluate investment opportunities, monitor and assess portfolio performance, evaluate market trends, and provide recommendations based on thorough analytical insights. The candidate would work on multiple markets (with focus on US and GCC) and multiple asset classes including public equity, sukuks, direct private investments and real estate. The candidate would directly report to the co-owners.
Key Role Requirements
- Create and manage portfolios that balance wealth preservation with long-term compounding while delivering returns that exceed established benchmarks.
- Conduct financial analysis, modeling & due diligence to evaluate investment opportunities
- Research and analyze industry trends, news, macro-economic developments, market conditions, & company performance and report the insights regularly to management.
- Prepare financial models, detailed investment reports, memos and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Track portfolio company quarterly earnings, management commentary, market updates and prepare concise, actionable summaries for the investment team.
- Monitor and assess portfolio performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Assist in due diligence activities while evaluating potential investments & acquisition opportunities, which include real estate deals and BOT Projects as well.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather & analyze data for investment decisions.
- Document transactions and publish regular portfolio and performance dashboards.
- Lead the budgeting and variance analysis of an operating entity.
Desired Candidate Profile
Preferred Credentials
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Preference will be given to those who also possess a CFA Charter or at least have completed Level II of the CFA Program.
Work Experience
- Must have 3-7 years of post-qualification experience in buy side investment environment.
- Candidates must have exposure to U.S. and/or GCC markets.
- Candidates who have family office experience would be preferred.
Required Skills
- Excellent in research and data analysis (both quantitative & qualitative)
- Well versed with financial modeling and forecasting skills
- Strong report writing and presentation skills
- Ability to effectively use advanced AI research tools and techniques
- Proficient in relative valuation and discounted cash flow (DCF) techniques
- Experience with data and research platforms such as Bloomberg
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
