Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and implement efficient irrigation systems tailored to specific crop needs, ensuring optimal water usage and sustainability.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate soil types, topography, and water sources, enabling effective irrigation planning.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring compliance with local regulations and environmental standards.
- Utilize advanced software tools for modeling irrigation systems, providing accurate simulations and forecasts for water distribution.
- Collaborate with agronomists and farmers to identify best practices and solutions for irrigation challenges in various agricultural settings.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field is essential for foundational knowledge.
- Professional certifications in irrigation design or water management, such as Certified Irrigation Designer (CID) or similar, are highly valued.
- Experience in agricultural environments or water resource management sectors to ensure practical understanding of irrigation needs.
- Proficiency in irrigation design software (e.g., AutoCAD, HydraCAD) and GIS applications to create precise irrigation layouts.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions regarding irrigation efficiency and crop health.
