Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install, operate, and maintain irrigation networks (drip, sprinkler, and pivot systems if applicable).

  • Monitor water distribution efficiency across fields and adjust pressure and flow rates.

  • Detect and repair faults in pipes, valves, pumps, and irrigation components.

  • Execute daily and weekly irrigation schedules as directed by the agricultural engineer.

  • Clean and maintain filters and water filtration systems regularly.

  • Identify leaks and reduce water losses in the system.

  • Assist in extending or modifying irrigation lines as required.

  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures during field operations and maintenance.

  • Prepare regular reports on system condition and maintenance activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Technical Diploma in Agriculture, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in irrigation systems within farms or agricultural projects.

  • Strong knowledge of modern irrigation systems (Drip & Sprinkler).

  • Ability to read and understand basic irrigation layout drawings.

  • Strong hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

  • Field discipline and reliability.
