Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Academic Instruction & Curriculum Delivery
    • Plan and teach interactive Islamic Studies lessons following MOE primary curriculum outcomes
    • Cover Qur an recitation techniques, core Islamic values, Seerah stories, Hadith interpretation and basic Fiqh
    • Use stories, visuals, songs and hands-on activities to bring teachings to life
    • Develop lesson plans, assessments and learning materials that align with curriculum goals
  • Spiritual & Moral Development
    • Instill Islamic etiquette, respect and positive character traits in daily school routines
    • Encourage regular practice of duas, Islamic greetings and acts of kindness
    • Guide students in applying Islamic principles to real-life situations
  • Classroom Management & Student Engagement
    • Maintain a respectful, inclusive and well-disciplined learning environment
    • Promote discussion, questioning and reflection on Islamic teachings
    • Offer extra support for students needing help with recitation or religious concepts
  • Parental Communication & Community Engagement
    • Keep parents informed of their child s progress in recitation, behavior and moral growth
    • Organize and participate in school events for Islamic occasions (Ramadan activities, Hajj Week, Eid celebrations)
  • Professional Development & Compliance
    • Stay current on MOE Islamic curriculum updates and effective teaching methods
    • Ensure full compliance with KHDA regulations and school policies
    • Attend training sessions and collaborate on cross-curricular projects

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Islamic Studies, Arabic & Islamic Education or a related field (mandatory)
  • Teaching certification or B.Ed. in Islamic Studies preferred
  • Experience
    • 2 3 years teaching Islamic Studies at the primary-school level (mandatory)
    • Experience in CBSE or MOE curriculum schools is preferred
  • Visa Status
    • Preference for candidates holding a Spouse, Employment or their own visa
  • Skills & Attributes
    • Strong command of Qur anic recitation rules and Arabic terminology
    • Ability to design engaging, values-driven lessons for young learners
    • Excellent communication, classroom management and interpersonal skills
    • Patience, compassion and cultural sensitivity
    • Familiarity with blended-learning tools and digital Islamic-education resources is a plus
