Roles & Responsibilities

James L Williams Middle East is seeking a skilled IT Administrator to manage and support the organization s IT infrastructure in KSA. The role involves installing and configuring systems and servers, ensuring reliable and efficient performance, and providing technical support to users. The IT Administrator will be responsible for monitoring system performance, performing regular backups in line with company policies, maintaining system security, and identifying potential vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and deploy IT devices including laptops, servers, printers, workstations, switches, and routers in line with company information governance and security policies.
  • Monitor and maintain system performance; troubleshoot issues and outages; ensure system security through access controls, backups, and firewalls; and implement system upgrades.
  • Manage capacity planning, storage, and database performance.
  • Perform regular backups and implement processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover.
  • Implement and manage access restrictions for network folders as required.
  • Ensure reliable network connectivity, including remote access.
  • Maintain and update the IT asset register in SharePoint, tracking asset allocation, movement, and returns.
  • Ensure proper documentation and acknowledgement of company asset issuance, transfers, and returns.
  • Oversee electronic file archiving and maintain key documentation, including software master lists and administrative checklists.
  • Support business continuity planning, resolve system and security-related issues, and identify improvement initiatives.
  • Identify, report, and resolve system and security incidents, risks, and vulnerabilities in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate IT and security initiatives and maintain communication with stakeholders.
  • Manage IT asset disposal in accordance with company policies.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support.
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, including Windows Server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Good understanding of VPNs, cloud architecture, and virtualization technologies (VMware).
  • Working knowledge of Cisco switches, Cisco ASA firewalls, Active Directory (AD), Exchange Server, and remote support tools.
  • Experience with databases, patch management, and network infrastructure (LAN/WAN).
  • Familiarity with modern operating systems and server platforms.
  • Knowledge of network security systems, intrusion detection systems, and data backup processes.
  • Understanding of wireless and communication networks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and prevent issues.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
