Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The role is responsible for supporting the effective governance and oversight of the IT projects portfolio, ensuring consistent application of project management standards, and maintaining governance tools and reporting. The position will also manage project-related procurement activities and contribute to financial alignment by ensuring correct budget mapping and spend tracking. This role ensures that IT projects are delivered in accordance with defined methodologies, tools, and governance processes. The role requires strong practical experience in project management tools and systems used for portfolio governance and reporting. Job responsibilities: Projects Governance & Oversight • Coordinate and monitor the IT projects portfolio, tracking status, milestones, dependencies, risks, and benefits. • Maintain governance dashboards, reports, and documentation to support IT leadership and committees. • Ensure that project management standards and methodologies are consistently applied. • Facilitate project governance reviews, follow up on actions, and support escalation processes where required. • Act as the key administrator for the selected project management tool, ensuring effective adoption, data integrity, and governance reporting. Governance Tools & Processes • Administer and maintain the project management tool (Planview or equivalent) to ensure accurate and timely data. • Promote the effective use of governance tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ITSM platforms. • Provide user support, guidance, and training for project managers and stakeholders in governance processes and tools. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project governance frameworks, templates, and reporting processes. Frameworks & Capability Building • Apply project management frameworks (PMP, Agile, hybrid models) in governance practices. • Provide orientation and training to new project managers on tools, standards, and processes. • Act as a point of reference for governance-related queries and support maturity improvement initiatives. Procurement & Financial Alignment • Raise and process project-related procurement requests (PRs, POs, GRNs) in compliance with policies. • Ensure all procurement is mapped to the correct projects, cost centers, and budgets. • Track actual spend against project budgets and maintain accurate procurement records. • Provide updates on procurement status and spend alignment within project reporting. • Apply basic knowledge of project financials to support cost tracking and budget monitoring.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field. • 5+ years of experience in project governance, PMO, or project oversight roles. • Strong hands-on experience using project management and governance tools such as Planview,

Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms. • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid models) and governance practices • Familiarity with procurement cycles (PR, PO, GRN) and budget alignment. • Basic knowledge of project financials, including cost tracking and variance analysis. Competencies • Strong understanding of project governance and portfolio management practices. • Proficient in the use of project management tools (Planview, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent) and familiar with PMP/Agile frameworks • Good knowledge of project management and collaboration tools. • Strong reporting, dashboarding, and documentation skills.

• Ability to train and guide project managers in governance standards. • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. • Attention to detail, structured approach, and ability to enforce governance processes. • Financial awareness to support budget tracking and spend alignment.
