Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Head of Information Technology (IT Head) will lead the strategic direction, development, and execution of IT initiatives across the group of companies. This role encompasses server-side infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and seamless third-party application integrations. The IT Head will ensure that technology serves as a catalyst for growth, operational efficiency, and innovation while maintaining robust security and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

  • Define and implement the IT strategy for the group in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Establish IT governance frameworks, policies, and compliance standards across all business units.
  • Drive digital transformation and process automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., AI, RPA, IoT, cloud solutions, data analytics).
  • Present IT strategies, progress, and risk assessments to the Group CEO and Board of Directors.

2. Server-Side & Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee the management of all server infrastructures (on-premises, virtualized, and cloud-based).
  • Administer Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, domain controllers, and file/application servers.
  • Optimize and maintain databases (SQL/NoSQL), including backups, disaster recovery (DR), and performance tuning.
  • Ensure robust server security with patch management, firewall configuration, and intrusion prevention systems.
  • Implement load balancing, clustering, and high-availability (HA) frameworks.
  • Manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid integrations.
  • Standardize provisioning, monitoring, and automation tools across the group.
  • Establish disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BCP) protocols to safeguard operations.

3. Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive group-wide cybersecurity strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with international and local data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
  • Oversee risk assessments, penetration testing, and periodic security audits.
  • Establish incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
  • Conduct regular employee cybersecurity awareness and training programs.

4. Third-Party Applications & Integrations

  • Evaluate, implement, and oversee third-party software solutions to support business operations.
  • Ensure seamless API-based and middleware integrations between core enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRMS, POS, e-commerce, etc.).
  • Standardize integration frameworks to enhance scalability and reduce redundancy.
  • Manage single sign-on (SSO), identity management, and access control across platforms.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure data integrity, synchronization, and compliance across integrated applications.
  • Implement monitoring tools to ensure uptime and reliability of integrations.

5. IT Governance, Audits & Compliance

  • Conduct regular internal IT audits to ensure adherence to policies and industry best practices.
  • Lead compliance programs and manage external audits for ISO certifications and cybersecurity standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including risk registers, logs, reports, and access records.
  • Oversee corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address audit findings.
  • Ensure readiness for audits related to compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

6. Operations & Support

  • Lead IT service delivery across the group, ensuring performance targets and SLAs are consistently met.
  • Establish a centralized IT helpdesk for efficient support operations.
  • Manage IT procurement, vendor contracts, and optimize IT costs while ensuring high service quality.
  • Provide regular reports on IT performance, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.

7. Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build and lead a high-performing IT leadership team and functional specialists across the group.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and reporting structures to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Mentor and develop IT managers and team members to enhance technical expertise and career growth.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand operational needs and provide strategic technology solutions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within IT teams.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 12–15 years of IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior multi-company IT operations role.
  • Proven expertise in server infrastructure, cloud technologies, enterprise systems, and cybersecurity.
  • Demonstrated experience in ERP/CRM implementations, digital transformation, and IT governance.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
