IT Network & CCTV Technician Al SAQR AL THAHABI COMPUTER

The CCTV & IT Infrastructure Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV surveillance systems and IT infrastructure components. The role ensures secure, reliable, and efficient operation of security systems, networks, servers, and related hardware.

Key Responsibilities CCTV & Security Systems

• Install, configure, test, and maintain CCTV systems (IP and analog cameras, NVRs/DVRs).

• Perform camera alignment, focusing, and coverage optimization.

• Configure video management software (VMS), recording schedules, and access controls.

• Diagnose and repair faults in cameras, cabling, power supplies, and recording devices.

• Ensure compliance with security policies and local regulations.

IT Infrastructure & Networking

• Install, configure, and maintain structured cabling (CAT6, fiber optics).

• Set up and support network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.

• Configure IP addressing, VLANs, and basic network security settings.

• Assist in server, storage, and backup system installation and maintenance.

• Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.

Maintenance & Support

• Perform routine system inspections, preventive maintenance, and upgrades.

• Respond to service calls and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.

• Maintain documentation such as network diagrams, IP address lists, and system configurations.

• Provide technical support and user training when required.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety procedures while working at heights, in ceilings, or server rooms.

• Ensure proper labeling, grounding, and cable management.

• Adhere to company policies, data protection, and cybersecurity standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in IT, Networking, Electronics, or a related field.

• Proven experience with CCTV systems (Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, or similar).

• Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking, LAN/WAN, and PoE technologies.

• Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Valid driver’s license (if field work is required).

Preferred Certifications (Advantage) But not Necessary

• CCNA or equivalent networking certification

• CCTV manufacturer certifications

• CompTIA Network+ or Security+

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in CCTV installation and IT infrastructure support (preferred).

Working Conditions

• Field and site-based work, including offices, warehouses, and outdoor locations.

• May require after-hours or emergency support.

• IT Manager / Security Systems Supervisor
