Job Description

As an IT Support Associate Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of an organization's information technology systems. The role requires a blend of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer service. You will handle a variety of technical issues, from diagnosing and resolving IT problems to providing assistance and training for users. You'll work closely with a team of IT professionals to ensure systems are functioning efficiently, and you'll use your skills to help staff overcome technical challenges. Additionally, you'll be involved in maintaining hardware and software, troubleshooting network issues, and supporting enterprise applications. Your primary goal will be to deliver high-quality technical support to enhance the productivity and work efficiency of all users within the organization.


Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users by responding to inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers and related software applications.
  • Monitor IT systems performance to ensure seamless operational output and resolve issues promptly.
  • Diagnose hardware and software issues and coordinate their resolution with vendors when necessary.
  • Ensure proper documentation of IT support processes and issue resolutions in the support system.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with policy guidelines.
  • Set up and maintain IT equipment in conference rooms, ensuring connectivity for meetings.
  • Participate in the deployment of new applications and system upgrades across the organization.
  • Conduct regular backups and updates to safeguard data integrity and security.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to execute and refine current IT support strategies.
  • Communicate technical issues to non-technical staff clearly and effectively facilitate solutions.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and recommend improvements or upgrades beneficial to company operations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with IT support and troubleshooting hardware and software issues is essential.
  • Proficient understanding of network systems, protocols, and software applications.
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with staff and vendors.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail under pressure.
  • Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are advantageous.
