Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Attend End Users calls, incidents & troubleshoot these problems. This service includes Analyzing and Troubleshoot problems related to the Desktops, Laptops & includes support on Windows operating systems along with office applications and mail client support. These Calls should be registered in the Service Desk Tool.

2. Installs software such as MS Office, anti-virus software and/or related type software for users.

3. Preliminary checkup of computers that related to SPS in addition to the daily issues as per schedule given by SPS Information Technology (IT) department. This service is designed to provide proactive monitoring and preventive maintenance of all Computers, Laptops, Phones & Printers.

4. Diagnosing, Install, remove computers parts physically and solving hardware/software faults.

5. Installing, configuring and deploying computer systems and software.

6. Assists users in understanding various options and applications within MS Office, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Assists users in the design of Access databases for use within their departments for various purposes.

7. Documented help desk tickets/resolutions by using Single Point of system to manage all the tickets and problems to improve the service Level.

8. Capture, track, report on, and manage all of the hardware and software assets in our organization and deliver the information needed to make better decisions in order to ensure control over configurations to minimize disruption and downtime accruing from changes. This is done using tools as well through physical tracking.

9. Vendor Management Services: Vendor management is a critical component to service delivery in multi-vendor environments of today. We manage third-party service arrangements including logistics/leases, licensing, repairs and service delivery and follow up on manufacturer-initiated upgrades/patches.

10. Provide Monthly reports to SPS as per SPS s requirement.

11. Person should have the capability to move around the offices to resolve the day-to-day activities.

12. Work in Port Financial System to create Requisitions or purchase orders that belong to IT requirements.

13. Ability to repair & manage communication equipment like handheld radios.

14. Maintains all of the licensing of software, making sure all documentation is completed.

15. Troubleshooting the issues that related to infrastructure like Asset Digitization & automation systems.

16. Handles other related duties as requested.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Education: Requires Diploma degree in computer science or related discipline.

2. Experience: Requires two to three years of helpdesk experience in a small to mid-sized private company.

3. Specialized Knowledge:

a. Must be thoroughly familiar with Windows Operating systems like Win 11 & above with MS Office software.

a. Must have some understanding of computer programming concepts and knowledge of Intranet set-up and maintenance.

4. Skills:

b. Must have the ability to solve technical problems of low to medium complexity.

c. Must be multi-task oriented with proven ability to handle several different activities at the same time.

d. Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

e. Due to access to company sensitive information, must be able to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion.

f. Must be able to anticipate internal client needs and maintain good working relationships with users and management.

g. Requires proficiency in various software applications and programs.

h. Requires the ability of working in shifts setup, rooster system.

i. Requires ability to communicate in English and Arabic, both verbally and written.

5. Equipment and Applications:

a. Must be able to use a desktop or laptop computer with complete proficiency.
