Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring smooth IT operations across the organization. This role includes troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues, managing IT assets, and assisting with system administration tasks. The IT Support Specialist will also play a key role in maintaining cybersecurity protocols and ensuring adherence to IT best practices.
- Provide first-line technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, business applications, and IT peripherals.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity and security-related concerns.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, including hardware, software, and licenses.
- Support IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and backup solutions.
- Document technical procedures and provide training to employees on IT systems and best
- practices.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and data protection regulations.
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or system administration.
- Strong knowledge of all Windows operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, DNS, DHCP).
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Technical Proficiency Strong understanding of IT systems and troubleshooting.
- Problem-Solving Ability to analyze issues and provide quick and effective resolutions.
- Customer Service Orientation A proactive and supportive approach to assisting employees.
- Attention to Detail Ensuring accuracy in IT asset management and documentation.
- Teamwork & Collaboration Ability to work effectively within the IT team and across departments.
