Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, or chat to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of support interactions using ticketing systems to ensure smooth follow-up and resolution tracking.
  • Configure and set up new hardware and software for end-users, ensuring that all systems are operational and compliant with company standards.
  • Monitor and maintain network performance, addressing connectivity issues and optimizing system configurations for peak efficiency.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance and security across all systems.
  • Conduct regular system updates and patches to safeguard against vulnerabilities and enhance overall system performance.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on software applications and best practices for IT security and data management.
  • Collaborate with IT team members on projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
  • Perform routine backups and data recovery processes to protect critical information and minimize potential data loss.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions and improve support services.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred for foundational knowledge.
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in IT support roles, demonstrating a solid understanding of support processes.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are highly desirable.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a corporate IT setting, showcasing adaptive problem-solving skills.
  • Nationality preference may include local candidates familiar with regional IT practices and regulations.
  • Proficiency in English is required, with additional language skills in Spanish or French considered an asset.
  • Strong technical skills in troubleshooting Windows and Mac operating systems, network configurations, and common business applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical concepts to non-technical users effectively.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills to diagnose issues accurately and implement efficient solutions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, showcasing flexibility and a proactive approach to challenges.
