Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Technical Support:
- Provide first-line support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Respond to and resolve IT support tickets in a timely manner.
- Assist users with system errors, connectivity issues, and application malfunctions.
- Conduct remote or on-site troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
System Maintenance:
- Perform routine system checks, updates, and backups to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor system performance and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and security software.
- Maintain and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
User Management:
- Create, manage, and deactivate user accounts in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with password resets and access control issues.
- Train users in proper use of hardware, software, and IT resources.
Network Support:
- Assist with maintaining network hardware and configurations, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Troubleshoot basic network connectivity problems.
- Work with the network administrator to implement network changes and upgrades.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Document technical issues, solutions, and resolutions for future reference.
- Maintain an updated inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
- Provide regular reports on health and support activities.
Collaboration and Projects:
- Assist with IT projects, including system migrations, hardware rollouts, and software implementations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve IT processes and user experience.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365, ITIL) are a plus.
- Proven experience in an IT support role (1 - 3 years)
- Familiarity with desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Basic understanding of networking principles and protocols.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and basic networking.
- Knowledge of antivirus tools, backup solutions, and security protocols.
- Experience with hardware repairs and replacements.
