Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Installing network cabling and other network equipment like routers and switches Installing workstations and other equipment like printers Installing desktop operating systems and programs Connecting all workstations to the network and relevant servers Providing staff with technical support and training Installing servers, server operating systems and relevant server programs Monitoring and testing networks to ensure that they are running optimally Configuring routers and switches Monitoring servers to ensure that they are running optimally Monitoring server backups to ensure that these take place regularly and correctly Responding to client requests Monitoring workstation backups and antivirus updates Performing troubleshooting to isolate problems
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus.
- Holds relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications, demonstrating foundational IT knowledge.
- Has 1-2 years of experience in an IT support role, showcasing hands-on experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Windows and/or macOS operating systems, with a solid understanding of their functionalities.
- Exhibits strong technical skills, including hardware repair, software installation, and network configuration.
