Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Maintaining good engineering practices and compliance with RSAF Technical Orders in all aspects of the Jet Engine work area, i.e. on aircraft or component maintenance.

  • Component Maintenance, inspects, surveys, evaluates, install, repairs, maintain, troubleshoots, service, overhauls, modifies and tests off aircraft systems components whilst undergoing OJT to gain levels of certification of own work.
  • On aircraft, installs, repairs, services, modifies and tests aircraft systems.
  • Ensures work is carried out in accordance with the standards and procedures detailed within the MOE.
  • Ensures strict tool control is carried out in accordance with tool control procedures.
  • Managing spare parts requirements using GOLDesp logistics system.
  • Be able to provide functional guidance to the SNTTP programs in respect of any engineering issues that may arise.
  • Carry out TCTO s and Special inspections when directed.
  • Development of assigned SNTTP trainees.

Desired Candidate Profile

Essential

  • A recognised qualification to NVQ/ONC/OND/BTEC Level 3 in the relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA.
  • Have substantial post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR consistent experience on the same aircraft type OR successful completion of a BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP / TSNTTP).
  • Relevant type training (Q Course) and specific training if required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
  • Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health and safety and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role.
  • The successful candidate, Saudi or Expatriate must obtain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level, prior to starting the new role or commencing employment in KSA. SCE membership must be maintained throughout their employment in this role.

  • Broad aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge.
  • An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures.
  • Be able to work in close harmony in a mixed EE/SN Workforce.
  • Post holder must be HF trained.
  • Hold a current driving license.
