Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maintain day-to-day accounting for gold jewellery retail & wholesale operations

  • Handle sales, purchase, and inventory accounting for gold (22K / 24K)

  • Manage gold weight-wise accounting (grams, purity, wastage, making charges)

  • Prepare invoices, debit/credit notes, and customer/vendor reconciliations

  • Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliation, and petty cash

  • Handle VAT accounting, filing, and compliance as per UAE regulations

  • Coordinate with auditors and support internal/external audits

  • Maintain accurate stock valuation and cost calculations

  • Generate MIS reports, P&L statements, and monthly financial summaries

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE financial regulations

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Commerce / Finance

  • 1–5 years experience as an Accountant (Jewellery / Gold Trading preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Gold jewellery accounting & inventory

    • Weight-based stock reconciliation

    • VAT rules for gold & jewellery in UAE

  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally, ERP, Zoho, SAP – any)

  • Good command over MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred)

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

  • Ability to handle confidential and high-value transactions

  • Good communication skills in English (Hindi is an advantage)
