Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage and reconcile an intricate inventory of precious Gold and Diamonds, ensuring accurate valuation and tracking to prevent discrepancies.

  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, specifically tailored to the jewellery industry.

  • Handle sales and purchase transactions, including complex international transactions, accounting for duties, taxes, and currency fluctuations.

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and transactions

  • Track and value inventory (gold, diamonds, finished jewellery)

  • Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS) and pricing margins

  • Handle accounts payable and receivable

  • Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements

  • Assist with audits and implement internal controls to prevent loss or fraud

  • Monitor metal rates (e.g., gold price fluctuations) and adjust valuations accordingly

  • Work closely with sales and inventory teams to track stock movement

  • Manage Attendance and operational expenses.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential.

  • Possession of an MCOM or similar professional certification is highly desirable.

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven accounting experience, with a preference for experience within the jewellery field.

  • Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, particularly in tracking Gold and Diamonds.
