Job, Oilfield Equipment Design Engineer

Position Overview

• Design and develop oilfield equipment using CAD/CAE software.
• Conduct engineering calculations, simulations, and FEA to verify design integrity.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards.
• Work closely with internal teams.
• Support prototype building, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Update designs based on performance feedback.
• Provide technical assistance during installation, commissioning, and field operations.
• Maintain accurate records and manage design changes.
• Research and apply new materials and technologies to improve equipment reliability and performance.

Candidate Requirements

Education
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Petroleum Engineering, or a related field (Master s preferred).

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years experience in oilfield equipment design.
• Experience in designing rotating equipment, including but not limited to: Cementing Units, Pumping Units, Slickline Units, Hydraulic Power Packs, Acid Tanks, Pumps, Separators, etc.
• Well-versed in CAD software.
• Strong understanding of professional standards: API, ASME, and ISO.
• Good understanding of structural mechanics, hydraulics, and metallurgy.
• Effective problem solver.
• Methodical thinker with a strong focus on precision.
• Effective communicator in formal English, across written and oral formats.
