Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Project Oversight
- Oversee project execution on behalf of the owner to ensure alignment with approved plans, contracts, and specifications.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to the baseline schedule.
- Review and approve contractor and consultant progress reports.
2. Coordination & Communication
- Serve as the main point of contact between the owner, consultant, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication and resolve issues across all project parties.
- Review meeting minutes, technical submissions, and correspondences.
3. Contract & Change Management
- Review and evaluate variations, claims, and time extension requests.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and recommend actions to the owner.
- Support negotiation processes with contractors and consultants when needed.
4. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all works comply with approved quality standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Conduct site visits to monitor workmanship and adherence to health & safety plans.
5. Risk Management & Issue Resolution
- Identify project risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Assist in resolving technical or administrative challenges affecting progress.
6. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare periodic reports (daily/weekly/monthly) highlighting progress, risks, issues, and recommendations.
- Provide the owner with clear visibility on project status and forecasted milestones.
7. Decision Support
- Provide professional guidance to the owner regarding technical, contractual, and financial aspects.
- Review payments, cost reports, and budget alignment.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- Professional certifications are a plus (PMP, PMI-RMP, CCM, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of project management principles and construction practices.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in construction project management, supervision, or a similar role.
- Prior experience representing the owner, consultant, or working with large-scale construction projects.
- Hands-on experience with contract administration, claims, and variation orders.
- Familiarity with industry standards, local regulations, and safety requirements.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Strong capability in reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Solid understanding of FIDIC-based contracts (or similar frameworks).
- Ability to prepare professional progress, risk, and technical reports.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage conflicts professionally.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
