Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately, ensuring correct dosages and patient information are adhered to, minimizing errors and prioritizing patient safety.
- Provide clear and concise medication counseling to patients, explaining dosage instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions, empowering patients to manage their health effectively.
- Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing medications, to ensure adequate stock levels and prevent shortages.
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness, consulting with prescribers when necessary, to guarantee the safe and appropriate use of medications.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a related field, demonstrating a solid foundation in pharmaceutical sciences.
- Holds a valid pharmacy license or registration from the relevant licensing board, ensuring legal compliance and professional standing.
- Certified in Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or equivalent, showcasing a commitment to professional development and competency.
- Experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting for a minimum of 2 years, providing practical experience in dispensing and patient care.
