Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Strategically source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing, terms, and delivery schedules, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value for the company.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and ensuring consistent quality and supply chain resilience.
- Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from identifying needs and issuing purchase orders to tracking deliveries and resolving any discrepancies.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize procurement processes.
- Implement and enforce procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential suppliers, assessing their financial stability, capabilities, and adherence to ethical standards.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste or obsolescence.
- Prepare and present procurement reports, including spend analysis, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as engineering, production, and finance, to understand their needs and align procurement activities.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve procurement efficiency through process optimization and the adoption of new technologies.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Holds a professional certification such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or similar.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, preferably within the manufacturing or construction industry.
- Exhibits a strong understanding of procurement principles, best practices, and relevant regulations.
- Proficient in using ERP systems and procurement software for purchase order management, inventory control, and reporting.
- Demonstrates excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Displays strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Exhibits a high level of integrity, ethical conduct, and attention to detail.
- Fluent in both Arabic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Demonstrates leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and manage a team of procurement professionals.
