Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

To prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for bespoke joinery works by analysing drawings, specifications, and scope documents, ensuring timely submission of quotations and tenders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review technical joinery drawings, BOQs (if present), and specifications to understand project scope.
  • Quantify materials (BOQ preparation), labour, and production hours required for manufacturing and site works.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for custom joinery, loose and fixed furniture.
  • Coordinate with the design, production, procurement, and project teams for technical and cost inputs.
  • Request, obtain, and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations as necessary.
  • Prepare cost comparisons and value engineering options to optimize pricing.
  • Submit tender/bid documents as per client requirements and timelines.
  • Support the sales and project teams with pricing clarifications and revisions.
  • Maintain and update a database of costings, rates, and suppliers for future reference.

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of estimation experience in a joinery manufacturing setup.
  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related technical field.
  • Skills:

- Strong knowledge of joinery materials, production processes, and site practices.

- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications.

- Strong MS Excel skills and experience with estimation software is an advantage.

- Attention to detail, time management, and analytical skills.
