Joint Staff Geospatial Support Expert
Salary: Competitive

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The Joint Staff Geospatial Support Expert provides technical support and advice on the use of geospatial tools and systems to the joint staff and other partners. The purpose of this role is to ensure that geospatial products and services are customised, delivered on-time, accurately, and efficiently to support military operations and decision-making.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provides geospatial technical support and advice on geospatial tools and systems to the joint and other partners.
Analyses geospatial data and products to support military operations and decision-making.
Collaborates with other geospatial experts to develop and maintain geospatial products and services.
Implements geospatial policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent and accurate delivery of geospatial products.
Provides training and guidance to geospatial users and teams.
Participates in the design and development of geospatial tools, applications and systems.
Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of geospatial principles, tools, and technologies.
Provides technical support for geospatial systems and tools.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essential
Master s degree in Geospatial Information, or related field.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certified.
ISO geospatial data standards certification including ISO 19100 and ISO 9001.
Extensive proven experience in geospatial management particularly in joint staff roles.
Proven experience as a technical support leader in defence organisation.
Strong technical skills in geospatial analysis and modelling.
Experience with GIS software and tools.
Excellent knowledge with geospatial data standards and policies i.e. NSG, ISO, IHO, DGWIG, NATO (STANAG), OGC, W3C, SDO.
Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and customers.
