Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly professional and experienced Journalist / Press Specialist to support strategic media and communications activities. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong editorial judgment, an engaging communication style, and the ability to deliver high-quality content within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Role Overview:

The Journalist / Press Specialist will be responsible for researching, developing, and delivering news and current affairs content across relevant platforms. The role requires a confident on-air presence, advanced writing and editing skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, develop, and deliver news stories with accuracy, clarity, and professionalism

  • Prepare and edit scripts aligned with editorial standards and audience expectations

  • Conduct interviews with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and key contributors

  • Coordinate closely with editorial and communications teams to ensure content integrity and consistency

  • Support media engagement and digital outreach, including social media updates and live coverage where required


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in journalism, broadcasting, or a related field

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or relevant discipline

  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken)

  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking capabilities

  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines

  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and adherence to professional protocols

  • Flexibility to support operational requirements, including occasional evenings or weekends

  • Experience in sports media, sports journalism, or major sporting events is highly preferred
