Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements.

  • Record and track customer payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate receivable records.

  • Reconcile supplier and customer accounts regularly.

  • Prepare and post bank entries, and reconcile accounts in AED, USD, and other currencies.

  • Basic understanding of multiple lines of business and cost centers, including cost allocation and basic reporting.

  • Assist Senior Accountant in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records and documentation.

  • Provide support during internal and external audits.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory regulations, and VAT compliance.

  • Support senior accountant with ad-hoc accounting tasks.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Mandatory CMA qualified

  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in trading or distribution.

  • Familiarity with accounting software, preferably SAP Business one or other ERP systems.

  • Good understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and accounting principles.

  • Basic knowledge of VAT and multi-currency transactions.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting.

  • Good communication and ability to work effectively in a team.

  • Able to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
