Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide first-line technical support for translation management systems (TMS), localisation software, and related database applications to internal teams and global clients.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues and queries in a timely, customer-focused manner, ensuring optimal system performance and user satisfaction.
Assist with system monitoring, maintenance, and regular health checks for critical localisation platforms and databases.
Support onboarding, user access management, and software integrations across multiple platforms and tools.
Collaborate closely with senior engineers, project management, and localisation teams to resolve incidents, escalate complex issues, and implement software updates.
Document technical solutions, procedures, and best practices to enrich the application support knowledge base.
Contribute ideas for process automation and continuous improvement within translation and localisation workflows.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in translation technologies and support best practices.
Key Skills & Experience for Junior Application Support Translation & Localisation
- Technical curiosity and a demonstrated interest in translation management systems (TMS), localisation technologies, or SaaS platforms.
- Basic familiarity with SQL, databases, and troubleshooting software issues.
- Some experience in application support, IT helpdesk, or technical customer service is an advantage (internships and academic projects welcome).
- Strong communication skills in English, with the confidence to clarify technical information for non-technical users.
- Organised, detail-focused, and eager to learn and grow within a technology-driven environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse, international team.
- Interest in automation, scripting, or working with AI-based language tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of an additional language or previous experience with TMS such as XTM, SDL Trados, or Memsource is a bonus, not a requirement.
