Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop electrical shop drawings (power, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, ELV/ICT, and low current systems) using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Coordinate electrical layouts with architectural, structural, and mechanical trades in BIM environment.
- Ensure drawings reflect accurate details such as cable routing, conduit/tray sizes, panel schedules, and equipment connections.
- Assist in producing clash detection reports and resolving coordination issues.
- Review and update shop drawings based on consultant/contractor comments and site conditions.
- Support in preparing as-built drawings and updating models with redline markups.
- Generate schedules, legends, and reports (e.g., cable schedules, lighting fixture schedules) directly from Revit models.
- Maintain compliance with project specifications, international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA), and client requirements.
- Collaborate with the BIM team to ensure models are accurate, updated, and properly managed.
- Support senior engineers in design verification, technical submissions, and documentation.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the construction or building industry.
- Familiarity with electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
