Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports and associated studies in compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Conduct Environmental Performance Audits and compliance assessments against permit conditions and environmental regulations
  • Carry out environmental monitoring programs including air quality, noise, marine, wastewater, and soil assessments
  • Coordinate and participate in field surveys, including baseline data collection
  • Support environmental permitting processes and liaise with regulatory authorities
  • Review project designs and provide environmental mitigation measures and recommendations
  • Prepare technical reports, data analysis, and documentation for submission to clients and authorities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable environmental standards, guidelines, and best practices
  • Assist in developing Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and monitoring plans
  • Experience in ecological and biodiversity surveys is an advantage (terrestrial and/or marine)
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations in Oman or GCC region
  • Familiarity with GIS tools and environmental modeling software
  • Experience in marine surveys, sediment sampling, and water quality assessments
  • Understanding of waste management regulations and environmental audit frameworks

Desired Candidate Profile

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 1-3 years of experience in environmental consultancy or related field.
  • BS - Bachelor of Science degree in Any Specialization; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in conducting EIAs using relevant software tools such as Air dispersion modeling, SoundPlan etc.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in field conditions. Preference may be given to male candidates due to the nature of site-based work.
