Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for various engineering projects by gathering and analyzing project specifications and requirements.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and material costs to ensure competitive pricing.
- Utilize estimation software and tools to create detailed cost breakdowns and reports, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scopes and deliverables, facilitating effective communication and alignment.
- Support the preparation of bid proposals by compiling cost estimates and necessary documentation in an organized manner.
- Assist in risk analysis by identifying potential cost overruns and proposing cost-saving measures during the estimation process.
- Review and analyze project changes, assessing their impact on overall costs and updating estimates accordingly.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience in construction estimation or a related field is essential.
- Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and industry standards is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and produce actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and independently when required.
