Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Our client, a leading company in the joinery industry, is seeking a Junior Estimator to join their team in Dubai. With a focus on bespoke luxury interiors for high-end residential and commercial projects, our client specializes in crafting exceptional custom furniture and joinery that brings unique designs and concepts to life. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with 1-2 years of experience in Dubai to join a team of pioneers in creating custom furniture and fitout solutions that seamlessly blend artisan craftsmanship with smart integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their project requirements and provide accurate estimates for custom furniture and joinery solutions
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to identify materials, labor, and equipment needed for each project
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality materials for each project
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor and material costs, for each project
- Monitor and track project costs, providing regular updates to the project team and management
- Collaborate with the design team to provide cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality or design
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and pricing to ensure accurate and competitive estimates
- Assist in the review and evaluation of project bids and proposals
- Communicate with clients and project team members to address any cost-related queries or concerns
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, project costs, and other relevant documentation
- 1-2 years of experience as an Estimator in the joinery industry in Dubai
- Strong knowledge of joinery materials, techniques, and processes
- Familiarity with project management and cost control principles
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimation software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
