Job Description

As a Junior IT Support Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's IT infrastructure. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to kickstart their careers in the IT domain and possesses a passion for technology. You will be responsible for assisting end-users with hardware and software issues, maintaining and supporting IT systems, and ensuring efficient and reliable operation of technology resources across the company. Under the guidance of senior IT staff, you will learn to troubleshoot various IT problems, provide user-centric support, and contribute to maintaining a secure and organized IT environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, a quick-learning attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.


Responsibilities
  • Assist end-users with troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues promptly.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems as required.
  • Provide technical support to users over the phone, email, or in person.
  • Document and maintain records of technical issues and solutions provided.
  • Coordinate with senior IT staff to solve complex technical problems.
  • Set up and configure new desktops, laptops, and peripheral equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining the network infrastructure and related IT systems.
  • Contribute to the deployment and upgrading of system applications and software.
  • Ensure the security of end-user devices by updating antivirus protection and firewalls.
  • Conduct routine backups of user data and critical system files on a regular basis.
  • Assist with IT inventory management and ensure hardware and software are accounted for.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience or internship in IT support is an asset but not required.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to support end-users effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and improve technical skills continuously.
