Junior Mechanical Engineer (Fire & Plumbing)

Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in plumbing and firefighting design.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Ability to use MS office, CAD, REVIT and other technical programs.

Familiarity with plumbing and firefighting design software (Elite) and simulation software (AutoCAD, Revit).

Familiarity with plumbing and fire protection codes and regulations (IPC, NFPA, etc.) UAE and SBC are an advantage.

Ability to work promptly

Creativity and Presentation skills.

Strong communication skills in Arabic and English are a must

Job Description

Prepare the design and calculation of plumbing and firefighting systems (water supply, drainage, fire sprinkler systems, and fire suppression systems) for various building types, ensuring compliance with local code and international code IPC.

Prepare and update project documentation, technical reports, drawings, and calculations under the guidance of senior engineers.

Assist in the evaluation and selection of plumbing and firefighting equipment based on system requirements, efficiency and cost.

Analyze energy efficiency and suggest improvements to enhance system performance and reduce energy consumption.

Collaborate with other engineering teams and suppliers to ensure successful project completion.

Prepare design computations and quantity estimates.

Ensure plumbing and firefighting systems comply with local building codes, regulations, and ASHRAE standards.

Assist in the preparation or modification of plans, construction schedules and designs for project.

Perform other assigned duties as deemed necessary by his/her supervisor.

Stay updated on the latest technologies and regulation.

Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
