Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receipt of requisitions from ships, sending them to vendors, receiving quotes from vendor, discussing same with Tech Superintendent and finally placing orders after preparing PO.
  • Liaising with ships re: receipt / non receipt of goods.
  • Prior authorizing final payments confirming final costs involved against quotation/delivery.
  • Populating the purchase software with list of approved vendors and invoices.
  • Keeping track of pending requisitions and keeping ships well informed of the status.
  • Any other duties which the line manager may assign.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Supply chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 1 2 years experience in procurement or supply chain operations.
  • Proficient in ERP/procurement systems and MS Office.
  • Experienced in handling POs, vendor management, and invoice processing.
  • Knowledge of procurement compliance and cost control; exposure to shipping requisitions is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Certifications such as CIPS/CPSM and exposure to marine/ship management are considered an advantage
