Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage the entire procurement lifecycle for automotive parts and components, from sourcing to delivery.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with automotive suppliers, securing favorable agreements for the company's benefit.
- Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key automotive suppliers, ensuring a reliable supply chain.
- Monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost promptly.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand their needs and ensure timely procurement.
- Implement and maintain procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Conduct thorough research on potential suppliers, evaluating their financial stability and technical capabilities.
- Manage inventory levels to optimize stock and minimize carrying costs for automotive parts and components.
- Prepare and present procurement reports, providing insights into spending, savings, and supplier performance.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive procurement, with a strong understanding of the industry.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of automotive parts, components, and the associated supply chains.
- Has a proven track record of successful negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier relationship management.
- Displays strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficient in using procurement software and systems, such as ERP and e-procurement platforms.
- Exhibits strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
